Make-A-Wish Wisconsin creates life-changing wishes for children battling critical illnesses. The nonprofit serves the entire state of Wisconsin, granting wishes to children between the ages of 2-1/2 and 18 who have been diagnosed with a malignant, progressive or degenerative medical condition. The Wisconsin chapter has granted nearly 9,000 wishes since opening its doors in 1984. Currently, more than 400 children are waiting for a life-affirming wish from Make-A-Wish Wisconsin. It takes an entire community to grant a wish, whether donating cash, in-kind products and services, airline miles or new toys and gifts for wish kids, volunteering, sponsoring wishes or events or hosting a fundraiser.
