Todd Thompson is originally from Milwaukee Wisconsin. He comes from a big family, including three brothers and five sisters. Todd’s parents migrated from Brookhaven, Mississippi to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in November of 1944. His father Jim Thompson was a welder at International Harvester and the rock of the family his Mother Ina Thompson worked for a Caucasian family as a housekeeper. Todd’s father passed away when Todd was at the tender age of eight years old leaving his mother to raise all nine of her children alone. Todd comes from very spiritual family and was raised with morals, wisdom and an abundance of LOVE.Todd went to Rufus King High where he showed interest in Football , Golf and Wrestling. Todd was the crowned king pin. It wasn’t a title he boasted proudly. He didn’t, particularly, like the reputation at all. Claims like that are what led to the downfall of a lot of men before him, so he let the hood whisper, without verifying anything. He started selling drugs to lighten his struggle. He made the streets freeze with the amount of drugs he brought into the city. He never liked the limelight that came with the game. Todd was a thinker by nature, surprisingly asked how he’d describe himself he used the words “unthinking”. “unemotional”, and rather stoic”. He preferred to get money quietly but of course that is never the case. Todd got caught selling drugs when his only child was one years old and was sentenced to 35 years in prison and served 18 years of his time. He was a first time offender with nothing on his record but a speeding ticket. He was the first one sentenced up under the new guidelines that was created by Donald trump’s attorney. While in prison Todd did a great deal of reading, earned his GED and college degree. The only thing that made his time easier was talking/seeing his family and friends. It wasn’t easy being a father behind bars and he pretty much missed her whole childhood. He knew then he had to make a change in his community and give back. His exit from the game was never acknowledged. But he definitely had a game plan. After being released from with not a dollar to his name,Todd walked door to door with the start of his cleaning company. After being awarded a few contracts, Todd also got a job with a law firm doing accident claims which he is currently still in his position. Todd invested in real estate throughout the city, but he hadn’t been able to truly rid himself of the reputation he had rightfully earned. Todd’s priorities had changed. Todd wanted to give back to the community and help children with incarcerated parents so he started an organization called “Team Todd”with hopes of giving these children a chance at a better life. It his mission to teach them about Finances, Credit and basically give them a fair shake at this thing we call LIFE. These are a few reasons of why they should fly straight.
