This is a hands-on training so please bring your laptops (fully charged) and your questions! While the training will be done using Outlook desktop, many of the concepts can be applied across other email platforms.

Register today for the GKM WI TEU Intermodal Forum. This event includes speakers who are Global Supply Chain Executives for well-known companies in Wisconsin, and one of the most knowledgeable professionals about global trade risk management, tariff mitigation, and indirect tax spending.

Learn how a supply chain professional, from one of the largest importers of finished goods in Wisconsin addressed the region's congested rail system, chassis shortages, excessive charges for TEU relocation and storage. Also learn how the Manager of Global Logistics and Trade Compliance, on-boarded the WI TEU Platform in 2016 to manage imports, deconsolidate TEUs's at the WI International Process Center, located in Joliet, IL. After the container is processed, goods are transferred to a 53' trailer for transport to Sheboygan, WI. Products are palletized and positioned for immediate inventory placement upon arrival. Also learn how the WI TEU Platform helped Vollrath replace their private fleet with the asset-based carrier that serves as COC for the WI TEU Platform. And finally, learn about the WI TEU Platform and how new trade laws continue to be enacted, and why the regulatory environment has become highly complex. Companies are compelled to demonstrate compliance with legal mandates through documented assessments, and Shannon Bryant, MBA will share how she led trade policy and program management for world class companies, Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Georgia Pacific, Oshkosh Corporation and others. Results included hundreds of millions in career cost savings for global logistics.

The forum will take place on September 12, 2023, at the University of Wisconsin in Green Bay. The event is free to attend, but pre-registration is required. Doors open at 10:30 AM and lunch will be provided at Noon. The Information Forum concludes at 1:00 PM.

The MMAC and Living As A Leader are collaborating to offer our ninth Emerging Leader Series. To date, dozens of high-performing individual contributors in the Greater Milwaukee Area have experienced the benefit of this professional development experience.

*An emerging leader is an individual contributor not yet in a leadership role. You may be grooming these individuals for future leadership, or you may want to sharpen their influence skills for the roles they are in.

This is a comprehensive six-month program designed to develop and equip emerging leaders with the skills and knowledge to more effectively interact with and influence others around them...hence strengthening both the productivity and fulfillment at work. The next 2023 series will kick off on Wednesday, October 11th.

We invite you to attend an information session to learn more about the program. Aleta Norris, partner at Living As A Leader, will provide an overview of the series, which includes monthly skill-building workshops, and small group coaching sessions. During this information session, you will have an opportunity to learn the key features of this impactful series and have your questions answered.
