  • Our Jobs for America's Graduates (JAG) students from Stanley Boyd High School and Tomah High School had a great time at the National Career Development Conference held in St. Louis last week. ✈️ Students got to network with other JAG student leaders from across the country, explored different college and career opportunities, and proudly represented Wisconsin in the National Voting Delegate Assembly. ⭐ While at the conference, our Stanley-Boyd students placed 5th out of 50 schools in the Project Based Learning competition where they presented how they planned and implemented a PBL at their school! 🤩 We rounded out the exciting trip by venturing around the city, visiting the St. Louis zoo, attending a Cardinals game against the Brewers. It was a WIN for the Brewers and our JAG Wisconsin students! 🏆 Learn more about our JAG-WI program with the link in our bio. #nationalstudentleadershipweek #JAG #NCDC2024

  • Brianna dreamed of becoming a paramedic. When she decided to enroll at Fox Valley Technical College, balancing her home life, work life and school life was becoming overwhelming. She talked with her Prosperity Center Coach, Ray, who told her to look into our WIOA program to help with things like transportation, tuition, books, supplies, and fees for school. Brianna met with our WIOA team to enroll and instantly felt a huge wave of relief. Knowing that she now had a support system that cared about her future was the push she needed to get through the program. We're happy to share that Brianna earned her EMT technical diploma last Fall, passed her written exam, and is well on her way to becoming a Paramedic. Congratulations, Brianna! 🙌 Dreaming of going to school? See how our WIOA program can help: https://lnkd.in/gebP9wk8

  • Earlier this month, we held our annual Northeast Contractor Breakfast at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College highlighting our renowned Highway Construction Skills Training (HCST) program. We started off the morning off with a lovely catered breakfast and a round of introductions from local hiring contractors. HCST coordinator Ranard gave his remarks, and our graduates went into a round of mini interviews with the contractors. Each grad performed masterfully as they interviewed for family-supportive, high-wage employment opportunities in the construction industry! 💸 Once rounds were finished, the graduating class presented Ranard with his own "golden shovel" award for being an influential and impactful mentor and leader. It was a wonderful day full of recognition and hopeful opportunities! Learn more about our HCST program: https://lnkd.in/gCnQ6st9
